If you really want to earn or make online money then there are certain things that you MUST do to have any chance of getting things off the ground.
Now a lot of people may not agree with the things that I think are most important to achieving your success online. But I always think about long term wealth and not just the quick buck at the beginning.
Build a list
You’ve probably heard this one before and for good reason.
Building a list of people that have shown interest in what you have to say is key to you success in making any money online.
Give people something of REAL value in return for their email address and you’ll then be able to create a strong relationship with them.
Always keep in mind that you are trying to build a real online business and building a list of prospects and customers is the basis of ANY online business.
Create Your Own Products
Now don’t get me wrong. There are a lot of people that only do affiliate marketing out there. They promote other people’s products for them and they are making an absolute killing.
They will also tell you that they have none of the hassle of being a product creator and they can benefit from all of the “hard work” that the product owner has put in and just take some of the profits at the end.
I can tell you now that creating information products is EASY.
It took me less than 2 hours to create my very first product and another 4 hours to set up the selling process (…and trust me, I didn’t even know what I was doing!)
Well let’s turn that scenario on its head for a minute to show who really knows how to earn or make online money!
The affiliate marketer, using all their skills to sell other peoples products for them, IS making some good money from the commissions that they are getting. But the product creator has many affiliates making the same amount of sales for them and the only work they had to do was getting the affiliate to agree to sell their product for them.
Your long term wealth relies on you giving value in return for value in the form of your own products. Looking for the quick buck will hurt you in the end.
Create a sales funnel
The BIGGEST mistake I see people make is that they create one product and then try to become a millionaire selling that one product.
They make some money (if they’re lucky) but the real money making comes when you understand that your business should have a front end and a back end.
Think of your front end products as ways of introducing yourself to your customers, showing them what value you have to offer. Profit is not your main goal with these products.
Your back end products are where you would want to make your profits. Make sure you give information in these products that provide very high value, but also come at a higher price than your front end products.
The most important thing is to keep going and never give up!
