Achieve Recognition and Attract Career Advancement Opportunities By Being A Change Agent

Quite often, in order to achieve significance, and/or become successful, one must be ready to stand apart from the crowd. If you are the kind of person who never wants to express a difference of opinion from the majority, or you dont like to "rock the boat" by challenging existing norms and beliefs, you are likely to find it difficult achieving noteworthy success in any area of endeavour you choose. Historical evidence shows very clearly that many times, those who achieved significant things in life, did so by first being different in their thinking and/or actions. They also sometimes had to take action by themselves to prove that their ideas, beliefs or theories worked. It was often only after doing THAT, that people began to believe them. The foregoing is why I advocate in this article - drawing examples from my time in paid employment - that any employee who desires to achieve significant recognition and career advancement in his/her workplace needs to become a positive Change Agent.
